Sunday Six - September 13

This week's #sundaysix includes items I used while we were traveling/moving last week from CO to CA, plus a few random things I've been loving.

1. The Away Mini Bag in Blush. While we were on the road, I used my Away Mini bag to hold my electronics (wires, phone charger), my night time essentials (sleeping mask, ear plugs, lip mask), and jewelry, with room to spare. It’s super spacious and lined with fabric inside. It’s a great travel companion. I have it in the Blush shade — super cute! And, these are 50% off on the Away website right now, bringing them down to $22.

2. Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment. I packed a minimal skincare routine while we were traveling last week, so I turned to a few potent multi-taskers. I love the Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment moisturizer because it is an ingredient powerhouse. It's a pricey product, but worth it in my mind because it includes peptides, antioxidants, ceramides, and other brightening ingredients. It’s a beautiful texture. Even though it’s a thicker moisturizer, it melts into the skin beautifully. For my combo skin, I use 2 pumps during the day, and 3 at night. I’m almost running out of this and I’m having serious anxiety about it.

3. Waterloo Sparkling Waters. I decided to mix it up this week and I picked up a few different Waterloo flavors. I’ve tried them in the past and loved them, especially Watermelon, Strawberry, and Grape (best had ice cold). These are what I’d consider a “hard sparkle,” as in super crisp and very carbonated.

4. Gap Boyfriend Linen Shirts. I've been on the hunt for some oversized linen shirts, but I didn't want to spend on really nice ones, so I found myself at the Gap. I bought three of these linen shirts in medium so I could wear them oversized. I picked up white, beige flax (OOS), and sage green (worn above). They go with everything! I wear them with shorts, pants, over tanks, buttoned up, open, partially tucked, untucked. These are a bit on the scratchier side, I don’t notice it after I put them on. They’re 100% linen and I got them 1/2 off, so I’m not complaining! They’re still in stock and on sale now on the Gap website.

5. Kusshi Signature Makeup Bag + Pocket Organizer. I have mine in the black leather + red interior bundle. I packed my makeup in this for the week (even though I hardly wore any most of the week). The makeup bag held my foundation, concealer, face palette, beauty sponge, Riki Cutie mirror, brow gel, brow pencil, lash curler, mascara, and eyeliner. The pocket organizer held 2 eye brushes, a foundation brush, bronzer brush, blush brush, and powder brush. Pretty impressive how much these two hold together! The leather is super soft but durable. It doesn’t show any marks of wear. I love that the inner lining is washable, and the pocket organizer clips into the makeup bag with little buttons. This was gifted to me, but I would totally purchase it myself if I ever lost it. You can check out my review of it on Instagram to see its full storage capacity.

6. Fjallraven Kanken Backpack in Fog. I’ve had this backpack for like five years, and I love it so much. I always travel with it because of how practical it is; it’s been with me everywhere! It is deceptively spacious. It has a laptop sleeve that fits my 13 inch MacBook, in or out of its case. Even with a laptop inside, I can add a couple of books, my wallet, a small cosmetics bag, a water bottle, and my phone and keys in the front. It has a front pocket, as well as two side compartments. It has adjustable backpack straps and top handles that you can clip together for easier carrying. The whole thing is also waterproof. Also super cute! A great travel companion, school bag, or even work bag.
